Talking of poo, my wonderful friend designed this magnificent poster!
Joshua loves toilet humour at the moment.. and this is not a totally new thing, he’s enjoyed laughing about poo for a couple of months now.
In the mornings he likes to have his poo-ridge for breakfast. Oscar is like ‘eurgh, no it’s not poo-ridge, it’s porridge!’ in disgust.
Every now and then he just says that his food is poo.. oh that chocolate sandwich, ‘that’s not chocolate it’s poo;’ it tastes like poo ‘I like poo’ he says. Often he then does say, ‘oh no, I don’t like poo, you can’t eat poo.’ Which we all agree with.
Sometimes we play a game where we go to the shops and mummy buys some poo but I don’t realise until it’s in my hand, or I smell it and then it’s hilarious! Sometimes I give him poo at the shop and sometimes I throw it at him- haha!
And to conclude, this fascination may have come from mummy, shouting ‘watch out for the poo!’ every time we walk to the car 😒 yuk!
One of my favourite things about being a mummy is watching my children grow and learning about them. Oscar had his first opticians appointment this week. He’s seen me go a few times and was happy to go. When we got there he seemed excited and so grown up; he followed the instructions well and we kept on having little reassuring smiles at each other. When the test was over and the optician was writing up the results Joshua went over to him, gave him a stroke on his leg and asked him if he was alright or said well done. It was so lovely and melts my heart. I’m super proud of them both and the people that they are xxx
So, Joshua and I have spent the day together today, and Oscar and Daddy have too. We’ve had a lovely time together. Joshua has been very affectionate with kisses and cuddles and we’ve had a few hilarious moments.. He’s missed Oscar and Daddy though. Here are some of those moments…
On the train there was a man blowing his nose and laughing to himself and Joshua looks at him and says, ‘what’s that?!’ a good few times. Mummy replies, ‘oh he’s just blowing his nose, etc..’ He loves that question at the moment.
At another point on the train he takes a big sniff and declares ‘poo! I can smell poo.’ I was quite impressed. It was the cow manure in the fields. Clever boy.
Now we’re at home and the boy next door but one makes unusual noises (he’s sen) and so Joshua mimics him back like they’re having their own conversation. Haha! 😳
I haven’t written a blog/posted photos in quite a while so thought I’d do a little overview…
April already wow wee .. Just trying to organise my 30th birthday party and starting to become a bit panicked because we’re heading towards May! We’ve had plenty of scarlet fever, coughs, colds and chicken pox so far this year and our biggest decision/prayer point at the moment is whether to home school Oscar for a couple of years!? To be decided…

We had a good chat with Oscar on our late night far drive home (I think he was avoiding sleep!) all about where Pops and GG live.
Matthew mentioned that it was strange that we’d left Wales and it was still misty (haha we don’t think Wales has the best weather) which confused Oscar a little. So, we explained to him that Pops and GG live in a place called Wales and not in a whale 🐋 like a big fish.
Oscar explained that we’d be very sad if Pops and GG were gone in a whale and that they actually just lived in a place called Wales! What a clever sausage 🌭
Our kids have style 😉 Oscar has always liked wearing ‘costumes’ or modifying his own. Joshua enjoys doing it as well now. Here are a few photographs of them in some unusual attire! P.s. I also like dressing up. Read the rest of this entry »
Joshua is very nearly 15months old! I’ve noticed two new activities that he’s just starting to be interested in-
I love observing the play! X
