It's so sad how much we've given up in the fight on terror. Although this is a list based on America, there's an impact on us in the UK, and we've got our own scary laws as a result of the war.

In those cases when our government later learned it got the wrong guy, federal officials not only refused to apologize or compensate him, they went to court to argue he should be barred from using our courts to seek justice, and that the details of his abduction, torture, and detainment should be kept secret.

The things done to terror suspects is terrible, and even when we find they are innocent of the things they were suspected of, they have no recourse.

It's all over. We've made it back safe, and catching up on sleep (and the parts of the wedding we couldn't see from the front line).

They're on their way back to Buckingham Palace. I missed the happy couple, but did get the old couple – the Queen and Duke of Edinburgh. The carriages are lovely.
